The other day when I was changing my radiator I was noticing it looks like a factory electric cooling fan could also mount on the passenger side of the radiator, has anybody deleted the fan clutch and fan and replaced with a second factory cooling fan?

Would wire the second fan to ignition via relay so that it ran any time the engine is on same as clutched fan would have, will the factory electric fan move a Knouff air to keep the 4.0 cool?

It has been done, however it does not move as much air as the mechanical fan. It is not something I would do

Hi,

I have done that, you can see it in an article here (http://www.jeepsallover.com/content.php?127-Jeep-Cherokee-2001-electric-fan-conversion)

But, to save you the reading and work, I switched back to fan clutch after few months and I'm happy with it.
The e-fan doesn't cool as the fan clutch does.
(although is it quieter and may save some mpg)
