we just had our heads milled on our 4.0 straight 6 and my husband is putting It all back together. when we go to start it up to set the push rods there seems to be water in the oil... how do we get rid of the water in the oil...

In the process of taking the head off I'm sure some coolant would get into the oil, so I would drain the pan, perhaps even run a few quarts through it and drain again, before starting up.

You really don't want water between the metal and the bearings.
