Check out vehicle innovation #3 in these vids. A paint that is self cleaning. The next innovation for Jeep? Where is the evidence of our wheeling using this stuff. Maybe on the 2014 Cherokee or Renegade? You decide

Driving the dirty Jeep the next few days is half the fun of going wheeling, we tend to have muddy Jeep contest at church on Sunday mornings.

I'm not sure how relevant it is. But in my industry. We use oleophobic and hydrophobic coatings when designing certain optical devises. Zeiss (Germany) applies these to satellites. Lockheed Martin has this done on some things also. Microscopes, telescopes, etc. I'm not sure of the compound though. I think Dupont put out a product like this.
It would be great for the urbanits and their LandRover/RangeRovers. Oh I forgot, also good for the guy with a 2014 JK with 30K worth of upgrades but only drives around town. :P

I'd want it for my under carriage... takes me 4 hours to wash all the mud out from under there and I still don't get it all lol.
