I have a 96 xj lift 5.5 with 37s and if its in park or neutral and you barely touch the gas it goes between 1500 and 2000 rpms, considering it idles at 1000 this seems a bit odd to me? Itll quit after sitting for maybe 30 mins running. Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks:bang:

You might want to pull the idle air controller and clean it up. Probably a free fix

If the IAC don't get it try the throttle position sensor, Here's a vid on how to test it.
