Left binker only works when....

So this has been a long standing issue. The left blinker only works when it's hot out. Under normal operation. The rear blinker works, but it makes the fast sound as if the blinker fluid was running low :D and nothing comes from the front. But when I've been parked on a sunny day or if it's pipping hot outside. The damn thing works like normal. No fast blinking sound and the font one turns on. What gives?
Now heres a kicker. I use hand signals when it is not working like you're suppose too. Drivers don't know hand signals. Nor do bicyclists. :bang:

I have had this issue Deejay and it was a bad ground. I reestablished it and worked fine since

Double check the relay as well... could be a stuck micro switch internally.
the flasher unit in the late models is to the right of the headlight switch behind the dash.... not super easy to get to, but removing that knee guard panel there under the steering wheel (and the metal plate behind it) gives you a nice big opening to work with.
