98 XJ 4.0l inline 6. I cannot figure out removal of the quick disconnect tranny line on the radiator. Any advice?

I removed the adapter from the old radiator. That worked.

You need a special tool and it'll pop right off. http://m.autozone.com/autozone-mobile/en/accessories/Tools-Garage-and-Equipment/Line-Disconnect-Tool/_/N-26c9?switch=true

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 because my microwave couldn't do it

Had the same issue last year. Give the oil line connection a good blast of de greaser/cleaner, that should let you see the retaining lugs that need pressing to remove, give them a squeeze and it should pop right off, if that doesn't work use the 'special' removal tool, or as we call it, a jubilee clip/hose clip. Just thread it round the oil line connector covering the retaining lugs, tighten up, job done. :)

X 2 on a good clean first.

You may have the connector with two little tabs that you squeeze ... before pulling the hose off.

Most likely tho ... you will need a fuel line/aircon line, disconnect tool ... cheap handy little item ... You could also make one out of piece of conduit cut to length with a split in it.

Idea of the tool is to fit it over the line and slide it into the fitting.

I think iys the 1/4 inch one I have one I bought just for that job I'm gonna go snap a pic for you. They can be a bugger if the little spring thing on the inside is rustie
