Hard to lost by phone
The lowers are so long that they can't go back any further
The drop arm kit was obviously designed to e used with stock lower arms

Front castor angle is off and making the spring bow forward. Any adjustment there?

I'm gonna have a friend (actual mechanic by career) look at it and make sure...
But the lower arms are just long...
And I can't push em back any further

Yeah I'd say that you need to find a set of stock arms from a PNP to put on there with your drop brackets...

Friend's gonna check it out next week (Monday/Tuesday)...
In the mean time, I was googling around and found a couple other jeeps with a similar issue (other forums)
They fixed with longer sway bars.

I'm gonna have all the adjustments made so it's correct, but the longer arms may be needed too.
Those were for a 2" - 2 1/2" lift. And it's now at 5"
...and I was gonna get a set of quick disco's anyway.

I'll post after friend makes all the adjustments.

I cant remember Dave, but are your lowers adjustable?
USUALLY adjustables will go from a stock-ish length, to "whatever"
If they are fixed arms, then those are usually at fixed length that is longer than stock.

Aside from that, the Jeep is really starting to look good!
Keep up the good work.... and if you need/want me to take a look at this with ya, I'd be happy to.

As stated the control arms can be a factor in why its rubbing, but a sway bar drop and longer links can help get it away from the spring as well.

Sometimes it takes a little bit of playing around with it to get it right.

Hi my name is Paul i have a 89 XJ and had the same set up with control arm drop down and same problem . If you have adjustable sway bar links extend them to move sway bar up which swings it away from coils . Just installed long arm system with 6.5 lift on mine

Got the new links... about 2" longer.
Haven't installed them yet :bang: as ALL MY TIME is being eaten away by family (pre shipping out).
Gonna have to try and call in sick next week so I can sneak away to install the sway bar links.
I can push the axle back about 1/2" ... but again = no time!

Take the Jeep to Astoria with you and sneak in wrench time while she recoups. ;)

I had the same issue. I extended the adjustable sway bar links and it pushed the sway bar away from the spring, although I still have an issue with the spring hitting the track bar mount on the drivers side sometimes.
