Took my bumper corner off to see how it would look, I like the look. Took The fog lights off, cut the inner fender and bent the horn up out of the way on both sides. Might try and move the vacuum storage canister not sure I like it in the bumper. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/11/7uge7eve.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/11/a7umuhuz.jpg
I think it turned out great!

Are the corners worth anything?

To someone probably. Throw em up on a local club or craigslist (if you want to deal with that) and see if anything happens. Free to try and might just get more wrenching bucks!

Looks good, i've thought about doing something to mine to "stubby" it.

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

do they make like a finish type cap that can go over the ends of the bumper?

I haven't seen anything like that before, but I'm sure if you know someone who can do fabrication they could probably make you some... I like the look of the open bumper, or even the angle cut bumpers after the end caps have been removed!!

I know they do for the Wrangler, never seen any for the xj.

ya just something to cap off the ends. It would be easy enough I suppose, but like a pre fit plastic cap that snaps in or a couple set screws... just thinking out load here-ha

Hi Muskie here If you need
some $$$$ for your rig you might try to find a shop near you that handles mostly 4x4s, or any local repair shop

That is going to take some fabrication. It is the mounting that is different. Not that it cannot be done, but it would be just as easy to start from scratch

Might need a heavier bumper!

Yup, it looks like you exceeded the OEM part function

Not that anyone is going to do any different or give a hoot what I say but:

So you ripped the corners off, and you think it turned out good? I think it looks like you were in an accident and the corners got ripped off, de-valueing the Jeep in general.

Now you want end caps...since the corners are ripped off? Why didn't you just leave the corners alone?

Why don't you just get a decent aftermarket bumper with some beef to it?

Just sayin'

I think taking the bumper corners and folding the rear quarters gave me a lot of needed ground clearance for approach angles, I like the way it turned out. I just merely bragging about bending my bumper on my wheeling trip this weekend.
