Hi all from the UK. Found this site via twitter. I bought my first Jeep 3 years back, and now won't have anything else. It's been a work in progress, but has certain limits on the lift side of things, mainly due to being diagnosed with MS 11 years back, so getting in and out can be fun.
I went with a 3" lift, as that was useable for me. Everything's been on a budget, but there are a couple of heathy Jeep forums in the UK where parts can be picked up at reasonable money, and of course, the bay of E can come up with some bargains.
This is how it sits just now.

Some might notice I used a GoPro for those shots (a Hero 3+ Black)
It's almost how I want it, a friend has made up a HD rear bumper that has to be fitted

A fresh 3" lift will have it pretty much there.
Here's a short vid taken to show the lighting upgrades, (Cree 12.5/30w LED units, and a 20" & 40" Cree bars,

:welcome: to :xjtalk: from Delaware!! Nothing wrong with building on a budget, and going with what works for you.. You won't get flamed or bashed on for "only" going with 3" of anything else here... How did you get the arial shots of your Jeep with the Go-pro??

Looks like a cool, unique rig. I like it! You've definitely made it your own. Love the LEDs! (of course :D ) Its funny, before i read the mention of a gopro i saw the sticky mount on the header panel. ;) That bumper is sick! I love the angle being used, more my style than a straight vertical surface.

Welcome to xjtalk! We love XJs, stock or not, and try our best to help keep others on the road... or off road any way we can. So if you have questions, feel free to post up!

Btw, you wouldn't happen to have any more info or pics of those tail lights on that white earlier xj in that last pic? Looks very unique and intriguing.

As to the tail lights, they seem to get a lot of interest from the US. They are standard fitment, UK spec lights, here's a clearer image.

I recon, eBay would be your friend for a set of those. :)
There is one other, easy to fit, but important mod I forgot to mention, it's also fitted with hand controls. Push for brakes, pull for gas. They were designed to a Chevrolet, but a minor alteration to the mounting method had them fitted.
(The switch is for both LED bars)

I actually meant those ones on the white one that's at the top of the pic. They look custom. Sorry for the confusion. I do like the "euro" factory tail lights though, and they are impossible to get here. I know one guy locally that has a set on his and he didn't even know they were different.

Ah, that one belongs to the guy who made the bumper. He does a fair bit of custom fabrication at home, so they may well be one off custom light gaurds.
I'll ask him next time I'm speaking to him, and see where he got them. :)

He's a very handy guy to know for fabrication, this is a 3 link set up he made at home for his own XJ, painted and ready to fit

Welcome! Love the XJ. My dad installs those hand controls in vehicles here in the US. I've had a little fun driving them around the parking lot, sorta reminds me of driving a boat.
