Since I traded for the crawler we have decided to keep wheeling the 98 and the crawler and sell the 88, so here it is:
1988 Jeep Cherokee offroad project. Here is a list of the good stuff.
-BRAND NEW 15 x 10 Bart steel wheels w/ 4" offset.
-33 x 12.5 Swamper mudders (bias ply, great off road, not so good on street)
-New Rusty's upper and lower (non- adjust) control arms set for 6" lift.
-New 5.5" Rubicon Express front coils with 2" spacers.
-Bastard pack ( S-10) rear springs with a double AAL for Xj, a little stiff needs tweeking.
-ARB front bumper, modified for top mount winch( keeps winch out of water and mud)
-New battery.
-8.25 Chrysler welded/ locked
The doors have been removed and GONE. The rear has been cut to truck bed style. Front and rear seats still in.
Matt has checked the bearings in the engine prior to me buying the jeep and there is no wear showing on the bearings. He wheeled the jeep a couple of times before I got it and it ran fine.
The bad: I had it running but it had 2 y/o gas in it. We pumped the gas out and put fresh in but the fuel pump will not pressure up now. It still runs with gas down the throat. May just be fuel pump.
Asking $1700 or offers. Tires, wheels, bumper, battery and lift are worth at least that much.
Here are some pictures:

Here's the bumper. No winch and no lights, ( you don't get that lucky).
