Sorry if it's here and I just didn't search for the right term...

OK. so I have that tail pipe issue. And discovered that I can buy the replacement section of tail pipe for $25 at the local parts store.
....# 45944 = the straight pipe to over axle fold to tip...

4335

But that is a 2 1/4" pipe.
The PO has a 2 1/2" pipe from the cat. back.

....and the parts store wants BIG $$ for sections that fall under "custom". And any sections that don't match a specific vehicle are "custom"

Does anyone know of a vehicle that uses a 2 1/2" pipe that is a good match?
...by "good match", I mean, will bolt it. I don't want to do bending and welding to make it work.

I think I found it...
RockAuto lists a Welker 44171 tail pipe for the '89 and is listed as a 2 1/2" pipe.
Which is a bolt in...
Oddly, there are different bends in the stock after '92... but the post '92 don't appear to be any bigger than 2 1/2" anyway.

Now to get a price on the 44171...

You could always get a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 adapter for about $7

true... but if the rest is 2 1/2"
I'd rather keep 2 1/2"... unless I have to.
I know it doesn't make that much diff, but if it makes any, I'll stick with the better

Just ordered the tail pipe (2.5") from summit for $41+$19 shipping... and I have a 18" cherry bomb (2.5" in/out) from??? Still in the box.
Maybe a lil more throaty than I need ... but what the F?

Should be here next weekend ~ and bolted in too
