while reading another thread the subject of lockers came up. I released how little I know on the subject. So not wanting to highjack Gary's thread I started this one. You folks that are Locked. What do you use and why?

I have a Power Trax Lock Right in my '98. It works great. The only downside I've found is that when turning (on road or off ) under acceleration it locks up causing the inner tire to "scratch" around the corner. If you coast around the corners it stays free. It was night and day difference after I installed it. A++, bang for the buck!

I have two Aussie Lockers. Non C clip rear 35 and it works very well. D30 front works well too. Haven't broke anything in the rocks yet. But that front locker will affect steering going down hill. I have to back up sometimes on the tight switchbacks. But not going up. It just claws its way around. But overall, great no brainer rock crawling. But will be installing ARBs when I upgrade my axles. I have them already, just not the rest of the front. But, I have to say auto lockers are the shits in hard pack snow on the highway. It does the hula. Haven't tried it with the front locker yet

Detroit lockers. I only have in the rear. It's the only thing I've ever used. Sucks in the snow however. So I'm thinking a selectable. Just not an ARB.

will in the xj in the rear it came with the stock LS and in works good. I will be going with the ox when I replace the rear it has the D35 clip now. Also in the front too . I have a Dodge power wagon and it has D60 in the rear with a detroit locker and a true track D44 in the front it is fun and ok off road but on road it eats tire and is like a tank.
