Bout a couple if weeks ago I started feelin the 91 miss a little at any speed. So I changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, fuel filter, oil and filter. That didn't help. I put a can of Seafoam in as well Friday seemed to work fine for 2 days then back to the miss. If I am climbing a hill at speed and give it gas it doesn't do it. But just going down road if I let off gas I can feel it. Tonight drivin at 35mph it missed so bad it would throw you back in the seat. Only thing I haven't changed is TPS. Could that be the gremlin that's causin this? If y'all know of something else please share.

All the plugs look OK when you pulled them? Check the coolant to see if you are using any?

All the plugs looked like they had normal wear on them. Now that ya say that it does look like I haven't used much coolant from the drive back up here in July

I was just wondering if you were having head gasket problems. A persistent miss is one of those signs. Does it miss at idle?

Nope not until I take off. Sometimes once motors warmed up it doesn't do it for a while.

I think you might have an injector problem. Try running the tank almost dry and put a half tank of premium in it. We have a TJ doing something almost the same and the good gas straightens it out

did you ever fix the kickdown cable? Also keep in mind if you run it low on gas you could have the beginning stages of a failing fuel pump.

i would put a tps in for good measure, there is a reason i always have a spare in the glove box, when used i just warantee the old one and put the new spare back in the glove box

Hey Bear , you might wanna try a 1/2 pint of Auto Trans fluid in the gas tank and run that through. Best Fuel Injector cleaner there is and its cheap too!! I do it about every three months just to keep the injectors clean and shiny.

Is it possible you had a tank of bad gas???
