Texas Offroad Ranch in Huntsville. We met up with 4 other Xj's, the high temp for the afternoon was 34*, I'm glad we had a heater!!

This was the first time we've been to this place, it's pretty cool, way better than Creekside yet not as challenging as Shilo Ridge. At least it wasn't one big slush pit. I'll post up some video from my dash cam after I get it processed later. I can't remember everyone that was there so if you were POST UP!!

We broke the front diff (real bad) and bent the drag link 90*, all we had was hard left turn, nothing else, we used a winch to pull the drag link back straight enough to tow home. Now we've got to get out in the cold and get this thing road worthy by Monday A.M. Brrrrr!!!

Sorry no pics, it was to cold to care about taking pics, maybe next time. I'll post up pics of the carnage when we open 'er up.

33's jammed in wet sand with 90% of the weight pushing against them + 4 wheel low + heavy foot = snap, crackle, pop. Sounded real nasty, gotta love carnage!

Been wanting to go to there too, not gonna happen for several months though.

Sucks about the diff but it comes with the joy of doing something to tear stuff up. :D

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

Here's the first picture of carnage. This is after we pulled it back "straight" with an 8000# winch.

Update on the weekend's carnage. All we broke in the diff was the spider gears. Drop a new set in and it'll be good as new.

Part of the fun of wrecking stuff is then you have a way to justify the upgrade to the Mrs... I say no spiders..

Hahaha, right!! Only problem is it's my son's daily driver and it already has a locker in the back. No need in making it unstable on the highway or I'd already have a locker on the way!!
