I saw one where a guy tried to break into a warehouse through a window and got stuck. Responding officer tried the door and found it unlocked. wish I could figure out how to find a link.

Two guys stole a canoe from a sporting goods store by just walking out with it. They were arrested 10 minutes later when they came back attempting to steal the paddles.

No joke, when I was in highschool, I knew this guy that stole one of those Palm Pilots from Fry's Electronics.... he got arrested when he went back to the same store and tried to return it for a refund....

It is funny to see how stupid some people can be.. But maybe he figured he was going to be caught anyways, so might as well throw in some humor to the situation as well... Or maybe he wasn't of right thinking and couldn't help but to answer..
