hey everyone I was out wheeling today and took on a pretty deep mud hole. I ended up sitting in it for some time and some water found its way in.. Anyone know some good ways to dry out the carpet and get most of that water sucked out??
Thanks a lot!!

A wet vac and a bunch of cotton towels, is my best guess.

Carpet may have to come out. That would be the fastest way.

Water will sit in that pad for a long time and rust out the floor underneath it. I'd have to agree with taking it out and maybe hanging it to dry someplace warm.

I don't know about the wet carpet but if you cut an apple in half put it on the dash it will help with the smell

I'd prolly pull the carpet and leave it out. No more PITA when it gets wet.

Do XJs have holes in floor pans like most Jeeps?? Haven't gotten the carpet wet yet...

Pull the carpet out and either let it hang up somewhere warm to dry out thoroughly, or pull it out and bed line the floor and be good to go for future water crossings, and the bedliner will help with the heat transfer
