As long as ive had my jeep ive had a few isues, check engine light says no speed sensor and no nss, also the little light thats says im in 4wheel drive dosent come on. my odometer has me with 5 miles in the past 6 months lol. so im thinking the harness from the t-case has a nasty connector some where. has this happened to anybody else?? any wisdom is greatly appreicated.... THANKS

Just pulled the connector i thought was the problem. Clean as a whistle. Back to the drawing board....

On that tcase switch, I suggest you verify power in and out in the 4WD position. Those switches do fail. The speed sensor needs power into it too. If it has power in and you cannot find anything else wrong, it may need to be replaced too.

I have a 91,does it run a sensor or a cable for the speedo?

Yours has a cable. In 96 the industry went to "drive by wire" and all electronic on sensors

Sorry to correct you but in '91 they went to electronic. My '92 doesn't have a cable either. That's why you can't use a '91 cluster on a '90.

my xj is 2000. as i understand it has 2 speed sensors one in the t-case one in the trans. i just found it odd that this group of sensors all went bad togeather. maybe im overthinking.

as it turns out i was over thinking. finly got time to pull the sensor and the gear had not one tooth. when i get back from hunting ill have to try the nss cleaning and see if i can get that pesky check engine light to go away.
