so I found a perfect round shim to lock my vacuums disco in the locked position.:spongebob:
then started to follow the associated vacuums lines and remove them...

:smiley-scared003:Damn there's gotta be a mile worth.

I picked up a grapefruit sized vacuums ball to replace the football sized one lodged in the bumper (donor was a mid 90's Olds).
now, as far as I can tell, the suction line goes to the ball / and there are now only 2 lines that go to the HVAC
3922

1 into the firewall...
the other is some sort of vacuums switch that allows/stopsrad fluid from circulating to the heater core.

A) when I convert toa nopen system, and that becomes a straight line vs. T to overflow... will that vacuums line no longer be needed?
and
B) How are the 95+ HVAC systems controlled?

You still keep the valve. It shuts on MAX AC

I pulled the AC compressor and the associated lines.
Then capped the inlets at the firewall just in case.

But I'm assuming the ball canister will be sufficient then.

thanks for the repky

speaking of vacuums....
what's the little blue check valve ~ with the wires on the bottom?
3939

it was connected to a line tied to the harness connected to the transaxle - disco.

is that maybe the 4*4 light on the dash?
