I am looking at replacing stock steering linkage on the xj... Is there an aftermarket one that is beefier than stock? Any ideas?

Details please? Are you just talking drag link? Drag link and tie rod? Lift height and the such. What have you done to your Jeep man? I type this in a candid tone of typing. Do you have symptoms of something that need to be addressed? if so, please explain.

Part Number: BUC000893
Fits 1987 to 2000 XJ Cherokee
Fits 1986 to 1992 MJ Comanche
Zero radial play u-joints
Heavy-duty telescopic shafts
Vibration reducing u-joint

The OEM steering shaft assembly was not designed for the added stress of lifted bodies and oversized wheels and tires which cause premature wear. Borgeson manufactures a direct bolt-in heavy-duty replacement shaft assembly that includes a slip shaft, collapsible shaft and precision needle bearing u-joints. The steering shaft assembly is easy to change with common hand tools and will improve steering precision.

The steering shaft. Yes, there's borgeson. I put one in my jeep. Not cheap but it's wicked compared to OEM No you will not notice much difference between the 2. Cheaper route is to take a trip to the JY.

If you have issues with yours. Let me know. The first one I received was way too short. Borgeson will replace it for you.
