so I need to swap (want more than need... but they're due) and notice the head runs into the oil filter...
OK! oil change?
nO! eFFing waY!
I pulls the filter and drain the oil...
still lined up with the oil filter bracket!
WTF!

if the bolt went the other way ~ it wouldn't be an issue:rolleye0012:

Lo yep. Many suggest that is a good time to replace the oil filter adapter o-ring since you'll need to pull it off anyways. Luckily, I didn't have that issue with my motor mounts for some reason.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 because my microwave couldn't do it

that's on my to-do list...
I was holding off on that till I get my new donor head ported, polished, and lapped.
when I do the head swap, I'm also going to drop the pan and hoan the cylinders...
..and was thinking of a high flow oil pump.

but I need to take smaller bites at it. so it must be oil adapter time

I think in 1993 they switched the oil filter position from vertical with metric threads to horizontal with SAE threads (From High Performance XJ Builder's Guide). Could be why Brasscatz didn't have the problem.

I think the screw is just backwards
if the but were on the oil filter side, wouldn't be an issue
