found you guys while searching pocket cast for any thing jeep related better yet xj... I started listening around episode 50 or so. I drive an auto hauler for a living pulling mostly GM products, but out of the yard I am based in most brands are there... about three days ago I took a picture of a whole bunch of "new cherokees" but could not figure out how to load it here...

until I scratch up enough pennies for the next major upgrade I will be mostly lurking but I have a handful of pictures on my facebook page "fiona cherokee". my daughter came up with the name while we were out chasing gremlins under the hood, she had just finished watching shrek...

fiona is a 91 sitting on a 2 inch puck and random leaf spring lift installed when I bought her. trimmed the fenders but kept the flares in the stock location just trimmed them back fore and aft of the 31x10.5" kelly safari tsr tires. gutted the interior scrubbed the stink out of it and put it all back together with a few upgrades. pulled the 2.5 summer before last for degreasing, replaced the oil pan, valve cover and timing cover gaskets replaced the rear main seal and the front seal and a new harmonic balancer and some other things while I was in there...
my plan is to get just under three inches of lift stay with the 31s, swap the 4.10 for some 4.56 with arb lockers keep the 30 up front and a ford 8.8 in the rear. some shackle relocation boxes tied into a full cage, low profile roof rack and sliders. when the 2.5 goes I am torn between bore and stroking another 2.5 with a turbo or building a stroker 4.2...

Welcome to xjtalk, Jeremy. Gonna have to check out your page! This thread may help you on the pics problem. http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=174

Btw, what was your reason on choosing to swap the rear axle? With 31s and the 2.5l i wouldn't think it couldn't handle it. Just wondering.

Thanks for joining and listening to the XJTALK SHOW!

I like the idea of bullet proof strength, I would like to build everything up to the point where the clutch will slip before anything breaks... But the easy bolt on disc brakes and the easy to find parts are on my thinking as well...
