New to xjtalk but not Jeeps/offroad.

Picture of my current project. 1989 XJ. Started with a blown 4.0, BA10/NP231. Started to swap in an AMC 360 with tons, but decided I wanted to go wheeling in it sooner rather than later. Currently it has a 4.0 from a 90 MJ, AW4, and NP 231, HP30/8.8. It has a 4.5" lift using mostly RE stuff and 35s. I'll probably start building a long arm later next year and swap in a different front axle.

Thanks. I wish I was as clean as that picture makes it look. Still needs a lot of work for my taste (family wheeler/parts runner) but it'll get there. The interior needs the most work.

I'm impressed with the 35's under a 4.5" lift! I see you did a lot of trimming too. Very nicely done

Thanks. I need to finish up the rear fenders still. Some welding and bed liner should do the trick. Also, I may move the rear back an inch since it's already built into the leaf spring perches.

(I have yet to flex the Jeep, so there may be some more trimming needed).

Nice! Man, i barely fit 31s with 4.5"! I need more trimming i guess. Anyways, welcome bud. Make yourself at home!

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

Thanks. I'm trying to keep it as low as possible, so the more trimming the better. I actually haven't cut that much out yet and I still need to flex it out. There's likely to be more trimming at that point.

LCOG FTW!!!!
Nice build, hopefully you can post up a bunch of pics as it progresses.
I haven't seen an AMC 360 XJ sitting on tons before.
I'm sure if you can do a detailed write up along the way, there's gonna be a LOT of people interested in the info.
