Wow... well lets start from the begining...My name's seb, Im currently 19.English is'nt my first langage so you may guys see some faults here and there, i just learn about the forum from a really nice dude know as altomud i just met while listening to youtube video live about 25 mins ago . I work 7 days a week,2 jobs full time, wich does'nt leave me much time for hobbies.Jeeps,Guitars.... seems like i have expencive passions haha..Annnyways...

My dad has been in jeep stuff since im born, and as far as i can remmember, i wanted to build mine, I've lifted a few ones with my dad,My uncle and my brother,But now, its my time ;) About 2 Months ago, i bought myselft my first car,Obviusly a jeep, Pretty clean 01 black XJ with 240K on it, Alots of works to do, But thats what i was looking for, sumthing to learn on,Something i can make my experience on,Playing on someOne's toy can teach you alots, But nowhere like doing it all alone by your own...

Currently my jeep has hit 245K last week,Is now Half lifted from the back with a 4.5'' rough country suspension,Brand new leafs and shocks, new brake line sicne my brother kinda ''Pull off the old one un-wantedly?''<---No clue how you guys say this hahah,I still has my whole front suspension to do,wich is plan for this week,Bought the adj. Trackbar, the shock stabilizer, and since my Powerstering tube is messing up, i bought a new one, wich is, yet aggain still hanging becide my bed...I did the front brake job, still got the back ones to put in brand new....Thats about what i have/Have to complete for now...

Planing: Well the planning for right now is simple, Buy new winter tires,Then New offroad tires, wich im between 2 choice,BF Km2 33/10.5/15 or MT Baja claw TTC 33/12.5/15..Still thinking.I also have my driver side floor to do, got a drain the nature made...Aint gonna complain about it since it helped me once i put the jeep in a ''small'' water spot...Wich costed me 4 speaker thats i still have'nt repair.. got my Heater system thats also does'nt works, wich i gotta fix soon before winter and thats about it for to-do list in emergecy....

Thanks alots already for all your helps/comments guys
Seb

Well, theres alots of work i gotta do on it,Driver floor,Rocker panels ,probablyprevent the rust on the doors down part,Theres the hood im starting to considering the idea of putting a wrap on it, some1 draw a weird square-head face on it when it was full of mudd, but it seems like it scratched the hood and now its permanent...Theres my driver doors wich have a curve in it... my front bumper wich is also curved, but i don't mind this one since i plan on getting a Rough country stinger for the jeep...THeres the radio ans speakers im already looking to change looking for a roof rack slowly,Tires gotta be priority too but since its winter soon and im in canada, im stuck on buying a winter set first...Might as well go for all terains, would be a good inbetween mudd and snow....You guys know how it is, 250 things to do on a jeep, but the seccond you do one, 3 appears on the list, either mods or repairs...Anyways like i said, its on my free time, small project,Oooh and im also considering on buying a motorstand so i can learn while building a brand new engine,Might as well buy a use one, and put it like a new one... not sure for this idea tought since theres a MJ Buggy project probably comming...Depends on contracts comming tought haha

I hear ya! These things have so much you can do to them, and things they demand be done, that you never get ahead. Lol. I have the same rust issues and hate dealing with it, but it is really necessary to take care of it... especially in a unibody vehicle like these. My suggestion... get a good welder and start practicing. You will save a TON of money if you are looking to pay someone to replace even just those panels. And bonus! You can build that rack, bumper, whatever you can think of a lot easier!

I like the idea of building a motor to have ready to put in, it would be great experience while not a rush type thing. Although i bet the jeep will get jealous and find something else for you to do instead. :D

I think those will fill the bill for you. I am lobbying my sone to buy them as he needs a good winter tire too

XJ Wheeler

Yep, and they have that winter rating. But are still a great offroad tire while still plenty streetable.

Is there any way i ask someOne to move this thread into the build section,Or does i really have to start a build one?

Brasscatz
10-31-2013, 06:39 PM
I can move part of it for you, but since the thread started out as your welcome thread, we'll leave that part in here. If you will start a new build thread with something simple and pm me the link, I'll move some of the posts over to that thread for you.
