So I need y'alls opinon. I'm tired of buying stuff and finding out it's not the right part or whatever.

I have a 1995 Cherokee Country.

My rear hatch is currently being supported with a pipe when needed. I want to replace them ASAP as this is freaking annoying. What is y'alls opinion of these?

First off, is this the right part. I know it SAYS it's the right part but I'm leery.

Second, I was watching the video on how to replace and it looks pretty darn easy. As a noob with a screwdriver I think I can do this? If not I have a guy I can get to do it for me and usually pretty cheap. BUT i like doing things myself whenever possible.

Thanks guys!

They are not too hard to install, but it helps to have a friend to hold the hatch up for you.

I can't comment on that part in particular....

Yes, they are super easy to change. I think those will fit, but just regular ones from AutoZone or O'Reilly work just fine too.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 because my microwave couldn't do it

Thanks for posting the link. I wasn't planning on fixing mine anytime soon because I saw the price was ~$25 a piece at the Autozone near me, not terrible but definitely not something I was rushing out to fix. I can get two from this company for my 99 for that price!

I’ve seen two different ways these attach.

The first is spring clip that goes over the entire ball stud, It just pops on/ off. The second is a thin wire that slides up into the cup on the strut that locks the ball in place. They are interchangeable with each other and very easy to replace.

Yay I will use that link instead.

I had been looking at several and this one's price was just too perfect. I also looked at Advance Auto and Auto Zone and they wanted like $22-$30 per strut. This is much more to my liking.

My current struts have the little wire that looks like a staple almost. I feel I can finagle that pretty easily (knocks on wood). If not the maintenance guy at my apartment complex does small mechanical things when I need him. I'll just make sure to do it while he working so I can call him quick if needed. ;-)

If I remember correctly, I got mine at NAPA for about $20 per pair 4 years ago now and they still work like new
