I was driving the other day the Jeep is running fine and it just died I am getting spark and fuel to the rail I have change the crank position sensor I am lost when I try to turn it over it wants to start but then backfire slightly and will not start

I think I got it narrowed down to the distributor cap cause I'm getting spark from the coil But not to the plugs it's a new distributor capThank you

Would a bad or disconnected CKS cause this?

Well I thought about it after posting and it's just another sensor. It's in the base of the distributor. Monitors CAM position (I think). Yeah if you're getting spark from the coil and not the cap, then are you getting spark from the plug wire going to the cap?

Seems like I remember someone getting spark but it wasn't the right voltage.

I got it figured out the distributor not turning guess I'm gonna have to find a new one thank you for your help.
