I found this site through searching for articles on replacing the clutch, I feel this project is coming up in the near future. I haven't made any major changes to my jeep. I always liked jeeps since child hood and this was my first new vehicle I ever bought. Since this is a standard and my wife can't drive a stick we bought a new 1996 Jeep Cherokee sport automatic for my wife. I do all of my own mechanical work, accept for the transmission replacement and the the portion of the A/C behind the dash. I never realized how dependable a vehicle can be until I owned the 88 jeep, it has never let me down, I can say the same for my 96 jeep also .

So far from what I've seen you all have nice rigs. I just love reading the Jeep forums along with their pictures of Jeeps playing in the MUD doing what they were designed to do unlike other suv's. I just wish Chrysler hadn't gotten their hands on them.

That is news to me I didn't realize that, of course I haven't kept up with the newer Jeeps and who builds them. This does explain though why the newer jeeps appear not to have tow packages, seem to sit lower to the ground and under carriage steel looks to be cheaper. I say sorry to the newer Jeep owners who read this, for your sakes I hope I'm wrong.
