Probably need some more pictures, but I believe we've got a couple of members that have fixed damage as bad, or worse.

Yup, specific pics. As long as the front frame is straight, the average person can fix them

Most of that is spot welded to the frame. It can be replaced. And it is a three piece unit. You will have to drill spot welds to remove it. There is a tool for that

New fenders, hood, core support, header panel and trim.... all readily available parts, and all bolt on.

Would there be anyway to make a tube cage around the engine that I could connect to when I put a cage in it

Sure. The best place for info on that one I think is NAXJA Jeepspeed section. They are required to have full cages and tube to the front

What is the tool you were talking about

It is a special drill bit. You can get them as Summit Racing.

I would suggest calling them and getting their tool catalogue. It is a free call and the catalogue is free. There are a number of goodies you may use in there that are used by street rodders to restore their vehicles

Hit the junkyard and start collecting parts. Now's the time to do some engine work now that there's no pesky body panels in the way. Steering box upgrade should be a snap too. and since you need a new hood I'd get a fiberglass one with a scoop. The possibilities are limitless...... if you have the pockets for i.t

I. Would do engine work and steering upgrades but it is on the wrong side and as for the hood I'm gonna straighten it out it isn't to bad I'm gonna have some parts for sale off of it if anyone is needing any I'm getting ready to buy a rolled jeep to fix this one

Oh and I have more pics of the carnage

It took me a minute to figure out I was looking at it from the top. I thought it was a lot worse then it really is untill i noticed the tire.

If the frame rails are not too bent it looks pretty straight forward.

Without the radiator and header panel in place the steering box will be a breeze to get to. At a minimum I would at least take it off and inspect the frame where it mounts. It likes to crack there. and repairing it would be sooooo much easier. and maybe change out the factory spacer with something a little more beefy.

Here's a good series of videos from TV's Xtremem 4x4....
It's all about fixing the front end of a wrecked XJ

I put a green circle around the tire to help with the orientation. Just in case someone else had a hard time. like I said I didn't realize I was looking at it from the top at first. I'm just trying to pitch in and get you the most help.

The crack I'm talking about happens on the frame behind the steering box. years of hard driving can cause stress cracks. It. would only take a minute to check while the front end is all apart . A new spacer plate would help keep that from happening.

I'm sorry if I seem overbearing. I really am just trying to help.
My Xj was wrecked when I got it, so I know what your going thru.
