I found a set of rims for my jeep on the craiglist..
I didn't know if they would fit.
I have a 1995 Cherokee SE
The rims are off of a 1999 Jeep Wrangler.
They are 15 inch also. But I didn't know if the bolt pattern offset would work?
I wanted to make sure before I went and bought them. Didn't want stuck with useless rims for me. Anyone know for sure?

I did. He said they were off of his "ex's Jeep", he just knew Wrangler.

Looks like it would have to be a TJ to fit mine.

Yeah, just ask him. Or post pics in here and some of these guys can probably tell you what they're probably off of

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 because my microwave couldn't do it

If they are ten years old or older and don't have a large hole in the center, they will fit

Ruger

Okay, I just found these on the craiglist.
He said there from a 95 Wrangler YJ.
Would that fit the 95 XJ Cherokee?
He don't know how to measure them. He has the lugnuts also...

Heres the ad below for his. But his has center caps. Mine don't on my truck.

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/4074477473.html

My wheels below in the photo have a center hole.
The aluminum ones don't from the ad above. Does that matter?

Thanks very much. I will go buy them!
I didn't know without having the center hole like my stock ones, would effect anything. They seem to be capped off on the center.

Yes, those have caps which will not be an issue

Thanks very much! I will go grab them. Sorry to be a pain with questioning the center cap thing. I couldnt see the center hole on the new rims with them caps on so wasnt sure if they would fit my hub center hole.

That is OK. The difference between aluminum and steel rims is the thickness of the center. This allows them to have a different looking center hole and easily capped with a flush cap. Make sure you get the lug nuts, they will not be the typical lug nut.

Ruger

He said he has all the lugnuts. So thats good. I was unsure of the diameter differences of that center hole. You have been a great help. Looks like there a good fit then. Being thicker. Are the studs the same length?

As far as I know, yes

Ruger

Thanks for the help! I got them, and threw them on.
The lug nuts he gave me, looked the same as the ones that were on thew steel wheels.
Their those steel lug nuts, with the aluminum caps on them. He said thats what was on his from new. The tightened up fine. That was a good deal. My rims were shot!

Thank you. It was just a quick fix for now. My factory steel rims were tired.

I snapped a photo while my wheel was off. Now I have noticed other xj's have a bow to their leafs. Mine are flat!! I think thats why mine has some give to the back when pulling out or cornering.

I thought so. I ran out of money for now. I will do that when I can. I dont off road. The front shackle bolt looks scary.

Wow. I cannot win!! I bought the aluminum rims used....pictured above. Since my factory steel wheels were shot.
I took them today and had a set of tires put on and the guy told me he had to wire wheel the hell out of them and replace the valve stems due to corrosion. I checked 6 hours later and two of them lost 2 pounds already. Ugh...

You might try some green slime in them. That is what it is called. There are some other products like it that work well in sealing beads

Ruger
10-04-2013, 10:49 PM
Thats what my neighbor had said tonight. I saw their website said not for bead leaks. But he said it worked on his.

4.3LXJ
10-04-2013, 10:54 PM
Worked for me that way too

Ruger

I'll grab some tomorrow. He said it sealed his bead leak too. Any trick to using it to seal the bead?

4.3LXJ
10-04-2013, 11:16 PM
Put it in and take a drive to get it circulated around. It has to run down over the bead from the outside of the tire

Brasscatz

Yeah, get a good test drive in on it, at least 20 minutes of highway driving. The only drawbacks to using it is if you have a tire pressure monitoring system, which our jeeps do not, because it gums up the sensors and causes them to fail. Also, may make it difficult to "patch" any leaks in the future, but plugs will work just fine :D
