First off... some jeep porn:

Moving on. :D

Will 1" spacers fix the lower control/swaybar rubbing at full lock and rear wheel well rubbing during flex? I found some nice ones on ebay for $50/pair click here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/281138843226?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649).

How can I do swaybar disco's "cheap"? I have seem clevis pins used, but I don't see my link moving up any to prevent coil spring contract during flex.

Will straightening my front brake hard lines give me enough length for a 2" - 3" lift? I'm going to use a YJ line for the rear.

Thanks for all the help.

Brake lines yes you can but don't recommend it. Clevis pins work great on the sway bars. To get wheels with proper backspacing to fix rubbing or LCA made to work. But spacers are a temp fix on the front. The back you need to bump stop.

Do you have any pictures of clevis pins disco setups? Google & Bing failed to find anything more than threads speaking about using them.

Is there any long term ill effects from running spacers? I found (5) silver 6-spoke SE Cherokee wheels I want to swap my 31's onto, but if I'm going to be do more bad than good, I'll find some wheels with 4 - 4.5" BS.

I'll ditch my swaybar once I add 2" bastard packs, flex it'll she rubs and pickup some box steel to extend them up.

Yes 31s will rub the lower links. I got rid of that with 1.5" spacers. I assume 1" would do it too. Aftermarket wheels would accomplish the same thing. The only pics I have of extended links are on my son's TJ. Not sure who made these, but might be Rancho

Nothing wrong with running spacers long term. Just make sure you torque them correctly and check them often.

Maybe I'll cut the stock links, drill some holes in them and add a pipe of pipe with pins for a removal link.

I've read 10.5's need 4.50" or less BS, so I should have 4.25" spacers with 1" spacers.

l was goi g to add some loc tight to help keep them tight.

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do it. It might fall under the "REDNECK REPAIR" Category. If anyone thinks I'm wrong, please let me know.
First let me say my XJ has a crazy tight turning radius. I lost a little when I went to 31x10.5's but it still turned tighter then any other car in the driveway.

They did rub the LCA at full turn. I stopped it by putting a washer under the lock stop. you can see it in the pic highlighted in green. (you need a 9/16 wrench)

I seen several people who have done that and haven't heard any ill effects

I'll adjust those. Can't really swing spacers this week. Thanks.
