We now offer a rear tire carrier bumper for the 84-96 Jeep XJ's :D (we will offer 97-01's soon, so keep checking back.)

Heavy Duty construction, with built in receiver hitch for towing / recovery
**This will replace your stock / aftermarket receiver hitch**

Ties into the "frame" via 14 Bolts.

1 3/4" Tube work

Tire carrier accepts anything from a stock tire up to a 35" Tire and drops down to allow access to the hatch.

Rear Quarters are built for a Cut N Fold, however, By simply cutting the lower bar flush with the top via skill saw, sawzall, bandsaw, port-a-band, or I can do it if requested, it can be used with the stock quarters.

How does looking out the rear view mirror look?

Also wondering how this looks through the back window... and also does the tire hit the ground when you lower the spare tire, or does the rack itself sit on the ground?? I'll def be looking forward to this coming out for the 97+... Might have to make a venture down for pickup... save some on shipping, and get away from DE for a little bit!!

It does affect visibility out of the rear window, but that goes for most every rear tire carrier bumper.

It depends on the size of the tire. If you run a large tire it might touch the pavement when you drop it down whereas a smaller tire the rack itself will touch the ground.

I will hopefully have a 97-01 version within the next couple months :)

The big nut on the tubework is what the tire will be centered to -

Very cool design. It certainly stands out from the normal designs, so I like that a lot. I just don't think it world work for me as I frequently use my hatch as a cover while I cook meals.

Any pictures of the carrier lowered?
