i was taking apart my head because of a broken piston skirt, when i went to set my push rods down they all fell out of order. anyone have any suggestions?

I always like to keep mine in order, but I don't think it will be a big deal. The only thing that would be affected is how much oil gets up to the rocker arms. Unless it is a big misfit, it should be fine

yea thats what my pop said,should be going back together soon will update. btw what is youre take on a single used pistons with new rings and bearings.

Well I'll tell ya. I think it's a bad idea. That's a lot of work for one piston. Now if you just can't afford it then you gotta do what you gotta do.

It's a slippery slop. I'd have a look at the rod and main bearings. Also I don't know the history of the engine, miles, over heating, etc... That would go into whether to do a full rebuild or not. Personally, if it was a daily driver, yep full rebuild.

I really don't like doing that. But if you do, make sure it is the from the same position as the one you are replacing. Many 4.0s are balanced at the factory with different weight pistons
