That 1918 Willys traveled a long way......

Back in the early '80s, we had a winter of "fires"...brush fires, etc. Dad woke me up after 12AM twice as boy to go help fight the fires set in the bush and fields along the roads, one night there were 4 fires along the same 10 mile stretch of country road...

That winter, besides the brush fires, most of the old barns in a 20 mile radius were also burned, and in many of them, loads of old farm equipment, harnesses, and in at least four I can remember, old cars and trucks... :mad:

Eventually, they caught the two young men causing all trouble, reportedly they were doing it to see the fire trucks roll, and both wanted to be firemen. :rolleyes:. Not a good start.

My mom also used a ringer washer. I remember mom and dad going to auction sales on Saturdays just so dad could look for spare motors or washer parts to keep mom's running.
