So after a year plus of trying to decided whether I wanted to run 33's on stock height, 31's stock, 33's on long arm 3.5" or 35's with 5.5", I've finally made my decision of 3" - 4.5" with 33x12.5 tires... but I need some final decision help. :D

First off, some info:
My XJ has the front fenders opened up 3" (factory flares were my template) and the rear 1-1/4" (cut n' fold). I haven't cut n' folded my quarter panels yet, but I plan to soon-ish. I've picked out GY Duratrac 33x12.5 tires for their aggressive tread that self clean well and have amazing year round on-road traction. I'll be wrapping them around 15x8 wheels with 3.75" BS from Rusty's. and delivering power to them via 4.56 gears and front/rear Spartan lockers. I spend 90-95% of my time on paved roads, but when I get the chance to hit the trails I almost make time to get stuck and add a new dent.

Secondly:
Which setup below would y'all recommend for me? (I know the choice is mine, but y'alls wisdom is always appreciated)

Setup 1:
- 3" Suspension System w/ N2.0 Shocks [630N2]
- Front Adjustable Track Bar (1.5in-4.5in) [7572]
- Front Sway Bar Disconnects (3.5in - 6in) [1128]
- Front Upper & Lower X-Flex Control Arms [1192]
- Front & Rear Bar Pin Eliminator Kit [1088 / 1089]
- Front & Rear Stainless Steel Brake Lines [89702 / 89703]

Setup 2:
- 4.5" X-Series Long Arm Suspension System w/ Perf2.2 Shocks [Perf686] (Ordering with 3" leafs)
- Shackle Relocation Kit [1117]
- Front & Rear Bar Pin Eliminator Kit [1088 / 1089]

The guys at Rough Country said they'd work with me to make either setup a
"complete" kit.

Thanks for any and all help, I greatly appreciate every bit.

If you are going with 4.5", a long arm kit is a better way to go

Height isn't really my biggest problem, it's ride quality. I don't mind running 3" with short arms, but I don't want to feel like I'm driving a dump truck.

Yes, the long arms do make a better ride at that height. In my mind, the longer arms allow better suspension travel.

Setup 2 it is. Thanks for the help. I've spent way too many hours trying to decide on what's going to have the best pay off.
