Its a work in progress I have a set of 1.5 ton axles from a ford HD that i have been shortening up a bit for the Cherokee. I have already reinforced the uni-body with some stiffeners front to rear and added a roll cage. Going to build my own custom long-arm system. But those are a few months off still need to save a bit of money for the tubing.

Wow, sounds like quite a cool rig. Feel free to put up some pics and start a build thread to chronicle your efforts. Welcome to xjtalk!

How high are you going, and what size tires?

I am going with a custom long arm which will give me about 12" of lift and I plan on running 44" tires. Trying to figure out if I want to run an Atals II transfercase or run a custom doubler setup.

The atlas is a nice case. Your biggest problem there, as with the doubler set up is making the linkage clean

I have a dual t-case setup in my 77 Blazer and that linkage was simple I don't think it will be much more difficult than that in the cherokee.

It is just a matter of tight space and making it clean
