Anyone here ever got a check engine light after cleaning your air filter?

It could be just timing for me but the day after I cleaned my air filter ( like I do after every oil change ) my check engine light came one. I just rolled to 113k miles.

How do you clean it? Sorry you knew this was coming, what's the code(s)? :patriot:

Havent hooked it up yet since its 25 bucks every time I do.

I brushed off any debris and applied the cleaner (smells like Windex). Let it sit for about 15 mins and then rinsed from inside out with warm water. Let it completely dry (both by sitting and spinning it) before I applied oil to make the filter a pink color (not purple).

Might be the MAP sensor. Oil is known to not be nice to them. I assume yo have a K&N?

I’m guessing a sensor somewhere got a deep breath of oil and it cleared out after a while. Or your jeep has the ability to self heal.
