Oil pump bad?

my oil pressure drops down to 0 when engine temp gets up ,,,, she runs at about 215 degrees,,,ive tried thicker oil and it seems to help but after a few hundred miles it does same thing,,,, pressure is 45 when oil is cold,,, seems like I need a new pump,,,,, yes ,,, no ? are all pumps created equal? or should I search for a high flow ?

Is the engine sluggish at all?

If not then I would say you might need a new oil sender unit.

no,,, engine is strong,,,,oil pressure only goes low at idle,,check guage light comes on,,, but as soon as I idle it up the pressure comes back up

I would replace your oil sending unit first. It's fairly common on our jeeps for that to happen

cool deal,,,,swaped sending unit and I got about 8 or 9 psi at idle ,,
