It will cycle on and off. Sometimes it does it because the R134a (or Freon) is low. It could be the normal cycling, just depends. Is it cooling normally?

Well i ordered a gasket set for the a/c 'cause i believe i have a leak at the compressor that i replaced last year, but i usually throw a can in or so when it stops working. Typically the switch stays on and i noticed that the wifes car runs for a few minutes and stops for 10 seconds and then kicks back on. My DelSol never kicked off but it was still R-12. A/c is not in my strongest field. I've got gauges and don't know how to use them. I'm handicapped and am spoiled by a/c, wive says i stink when i sweat!

Usually it is stuff like the O rings. Did you use green AC rings when you put your hoses on?

Man i don't remember but the gaskets i just got has green, wire ciol ones, some with metal rings. Not sure where all the gaskets are in the system.

You cannot use just any O rings. They have to be made for the new refrigerants. If not, they will leak guaranteed.

If it is for R134 AC, then it should be right
