So I just did the service for a guy in my own unit on Sat. He died in TX after med hold for the last 6 weeks... Headed home from Afghanistan 2nd tour back to back.

We did the service with 1/2 honor guard 1/2 unit members that served with him in '08.
The rest of the honor guard was tied up doing 1 of the 3 KIA's in OR. this weekend.

The Gov. announced that all flags will be flown at 1/2 mast for (didn't catch his name) that died in MD after 2 weeks med.

But squat for the others.
Not that they did it for recognition... But why 1 and no mention of the others

Anyone that would make a good political leader wouldn't be elected. Honesty, honor and doing the right thing isn't rewarded in politics.

Its that no vet is more important than another and if it wasn't so I'd up, it would be laughable.
Like when they did a special 10,000th troop that died or the ###th...
That marine / soldier / airmen / sailor... is no more or less

I've noticed municipalities SELLING sections of road to be dedicated in military persons name
