When I started my 96 today my check engine light came on. As I coasted to a stop light a few minutes later it stalled. It started right up. It’s running fine.
Then later in the day after a few stops the check engine light went off. When I pulled into the parking lot at work I did the turn the key 3 times trick and got codes 12, 54 and 55 when I get home I’ll put the scanner to it and see what else it says.

I suspect the Cam sensor. Anyone else have any suggestions or ideas?

Since it threw a code, then yes replace it

Check the connections first.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and changed it out since I have no idea how old it is. I cleaned the connection with contact cleaner and used a dab of dielectric grease. I'll post again if that didn't get it.

Changing it out is the best course of action, just not the cheapest. ;)
