Hi All! I just packed up all my gear over at Cherokee Forum and moved here. There are some great people at CF but a few douche bags that ruin it for everyone. Hopefully, my experience here will be less dramatic. XjJeepacorn (aka Cherokee Chick) told me about this place.

I'm an avid photographer but make my living as a carpenter. I don't crawl or mud but spend a lot of time on trails and rarely used fire roads. My XJ is a "he" because that's the vibe I get from him. His name is Heep which, I know, is an overused monicker but my neighbor (Hispanic/mostly non-English speaker) once said, "Hola Heff, I like joo Heep" and the name stuck... that was before I knew everyone called their Jeep a Heep. This is my first Jeep and my first 4x4. I've had it for about two years.

Looking forward to picking your brainz on all the technical stuff and contributing where I can!

Hey Jeff, welcome to xjtalk! I recognize the username from CF, i made the same move a WHILE back. Good to have ya here. You won't be disappointed. Here, respect is #1. No bashing, flaming, mocking. No question is too small, everybody has to start somewhere. An old thread is fine to bring back, someone else may find it informative as well. We don't give the lame responses to search or Google it.

But all that doesn't mean we don't have fun with each other. :p
