My jeep has a sticker in the glove box that says I have a select trac rear end. Once I pull the cover what should I look for? and how do I check to make sure it works? How do I fix it if it work?

I'm sure the other guys will chime in here if I'm wrong but I'll give this one a shot.

The "select trac" refers to the type of transfer case you have in the Jeep. You probably have the NP242 transfer case which means you should have options for 2wd, 4wd part time, 4wd full time, and 4lo on the shifter. I don't believe you'll need to be on the lookout for anything in particular when you pull the diff cover. I'm not sure what the best way to check if it works is... personally, I found a gravel road and shifted it into 4wd. You can feel the difference when power is being sent to the front wheels.
