So i'm planning a trip to check out the sights in Colorado. So far it will be four of us checking out Lake City, Ouray, and Silverton. So if you know the area can you pass some spots to check out.

The first picture is Black Bear pass. I would suggest taking Black Bear into Telluride as it is only 1 way and then either taking Imogene Pass from Telluride to Ouray or if you are wanting to head back south say to Silverton/Durango take highway 45 spur west out of Telluride, then south to Ophir and take Ophir Pass/Rd back to Highway 550. This a nice day trip especially if you spend time in Telluride and of course checking out all the old mining towns, equipment, and such along the way.

Telluride is a good one.

http://www.visittelluride.com/

Its just about endless if you drive a bit further toward the center of the state.

Rocky mountain national park

There's a beautiful town called Buena Vista, would be a nice place to stay i would think.

You might recognize Maroon bells, they are the most photographed peaks in North America.

And Colorado Springs has a ton of stuff to do. I've spent a lot of time there. If you're gonna be wheeling there's an excellent shop there as well.

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

Here is another route since you mentioned Silverton and Lake City...

SIlverton - Animas Forks - Lake City via Picayune Gulch (I believe), California gulch, Mineral Point, and Engineer Pass. From Lake City you could take Engineer Pass back to Ouray. MAP (https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Silverton,+CO&daddr=37.8542647,-107.6777973+to:animas+forks,+co+to:lake+city,+co&hl=en&ll=37.930117,-107.445602&spn=0.467398,0.617294&sll=37.854661,-107.664471&sspn=0.11697,0.154324&geocode=FeX2QAIdhiuV-SlNPz7U-Oc-hzE_y321LjjfaA%3BFTicQQIdm_eU-SkzS3Fvj90-hzFbSfJRQgVedA%3BFQXNQgIdgpyW-SnZDrS82eM-hzEgdRolw58UXA%3BFa1KRAIden-a-SnxvFPhHgA_hzE716IfbKIqnQ&oq=Silvert&t=h&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=13&via=1&z=11)

Here is a decent site for the local trails as well.

Wish I could go with you, have to go back one day, there is so much there to explore.

Never made to Black Bear, but Imogene was awesome...maybe one day.
