Injector wiring methods.

I recently purchased a 2001 jeep Cherokee with 175k miles with a cracked head and before i get started on that part of the jeep i was taking a quick inventory of the things that looked out of place and ran across the injector wiring which is cracked and showing bare wires i found these http://jkjeepaccessories.com/all-products-c-456/repair-harness-w-38l-engine-fuel-injector-p-957.html.
is soldering the leads the best way and the safest in regards to the potential to starting a under the hood fire?

I would solder it for sure. You'll get the best connection and it's probably the safest way to do it.
