I'm thinking of getting a 2nd car. I'm currently kicking around the idea of a liberty. Anyone w 1st hand experience with one? I'm generally not a fan of V6's. but figured I'd get some feed back from folks.

I have a 2010 Liberty and surprisingly I love it! It get somewhat good gas mileage, I can go to California/Arizona border on only a half a tank of gas.
Its surprisingly roomy and comfy for being an SUV lol.
So far I havent had any problems with it (Ive had it since March) and it can get up and go lol
(Now im not a fan of the older body style Libertys, I think theyre ugly)

What kinda mileage you getting? My xj stock got about 18-20 on highway. I would prefer to get more but not get a Honda. Japanese cars are stolen far too often and I never lock my cars (old Iowa habit).
If any one has other opinions on other vehicle choices. Throw them my way. I'm kinda hoping to stick to $10K or less. Not sure how long I'd keep it

I have a 2001 jeep liberty. Its in my profile picture. I like it but it was a gift from my grandparents. Never had any problems with it. Its completely stock ive put about 20xxx on it. I've been toying with idea of 1-2 inch budget boost. gas milage isnt bad for me. Not sure if they're all 3.7 but mine is i get about 18 town up to 25 highway

I have a 05 Renegade Liberty and I love it minus the max of 17mpg. The thing handles great and boy it can turn

I had one of the earlier model years when I first moved out to TX. The milage wasn't anything to write home about, I think I averaged around 15mpg in the city, but it was very comfortable for an SUV. The only problems I ever had with it were a passenger side window that whistled at hwy speeds and a slight complex about driving a Liberty every time an XJ or TJ pulled up next to me. I never really considered it an offroad vehicle so even though it was a 4wd I never took it off road.
