1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee rear sear backs fold towards the front?

Is there a latch to make the backs of the rear seat fold forward???

Yes the latch is on the door side of each seat back just above the seat bottom. It is a black handle that is crescent moon shaped. To fold flat, remove head rest, fold seat bottom towards the front seat, head rests will go in the top of the seat bottom, pull handle and fold seat back forward. This will make more sense when you start doing it.
