OK had a moment to work more on the interior.
Pulled more carpet from floor in back seat area... and under passenger seat.
Still have to pull it from under the council and driver seat.

I also got started on the diamond tread panel replacement in the cargo area

Next is some molding to finish the edges...
And some hex-tip sheet metal screws to secure them.
...and maybe a shelf on the right side panel.

Looking good... I think if you find some decent trim to put around the edges, it'll clean it up even more!!

That looks good! Should be a little easier then the old plastic panels to remove too.

I like the way it looks. This give a bit more of a solid place to mount things for storage and such.

Does it lay flush around the edge to all the panel/metal behind it?

I wonder if someone has that in a heavy duty plastic. I guess it's not a problem as long as it doesn't come loose in a rear in collision and cuts someone.

The 36x36 only comes in a thin aluminum ( like .025 = http://www.homedepot.com/p/36-in-x-36-in-x-0-025-in-Diamond-Tread-Aluminum-Sheet-57307/203930831#.UeAZRGbn9PE)
So its flexible enough to bend if needed.
But for the most part it is flush on the right side.
The left side has the wiring and the tire mount ~ so some extra folds and such.
Very doable.
...and for extra strength, I'm going to put a strip of thicker metal behind where I plan on making the storage shelf.

There has to be plastic somewhere... but the alum. is the only thing I found that had big enough dimentions. It's 15" by 27" (+ 3" fold around toward the tailgate)

Thickness / strength...
It's basically the same strength as the HVAC ducting work in a house.
I used tin-snips, a dremel, and a hand held duct sheet folder.

I may have to come by to use that folder of yours when its time for me to do MY cargo area build out......
Looking good so far.
Hurry up and finish this so I can have some motivation and be jealous!
(might have to have a little PDX meet-up and check this out in person!)

Finished ripping the carpet out of the front...
DAMN THE FLOOR GETS HOT!

...gonna work on some under hood cooling in Aug.

My valves came in though. So I'm going to cut/drill out a 3/4" hole just behind each front seat.
Then bed liner it all.
I'll post some pic's.

Also picked up some edge striping to finish off the back
...and thinking about the rubber'ized under coating on the top (where the liner is gone) to reduce sound.

So I finished pulling ALL the rest of the carpet last weekend...
Had a couple hours yesterday and today to clean up the floor a bit before bed liner'ing it.

Couple spots where rust won the battle.
...and I cheated with JBWeld and a paddy knife. Looks good as new and solid.
Thank the rust gods for only a couple small holes.

Gonna finish up the diamond plate and bed liner tomorrow

Bed liner down √
I'm not sure if I'm going to use a rubber mat in front ... or just a rubber floor mattttt
Mostly because of the heat.
I put a tool mat over the tranny hump from front to back + kept the padded firewall mat

Also added an edge trim strip to the diamond paneling in the back... but need to drill some screws in

I'll add more pics once it's finished...
...as well as a part 3 for when I finish up the front and I stall the left and right drains
