So my belt broke and I replaced and that one snapped as well and then that's when I noticed the fan not engaging. The pulley is not spinning caused the belt to just rub against it burning up the belt. Is this a bad fan switch or does the pulley need to be replaced?:bang:

Probably let someone who knows more answer before doing anything, but it sounds like the shaft has seized. If it was a bad clutch it would turn when the engine is running but not with it off if the belt is still on.

So if that's the case then what would need to be replaced?

Sounds like the bearings in the idler pulley froze up.

If you try to turn the pulley and it won't budge. You need to replace the pulley assembly. Shouldn't be a hard job

So I can fix it or do I need to replace it?
