1997 dana 30 front axle questions

Greetings XJ talk!

So my jeep has been making more and more noise coming fro the front axle area and it looks like it is leaking as well.

so I want to replace and upgrade what I can.

there for i ask you these questions.

would this yoke (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52237_05X0_PG.htm) be a good upgrade?

I want to replace the

bearings,oil slinger and oil seal is there any thing else I should replace as well? how about u-joints?

I will be getting this (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52416_100.htm) gasket as well

Any thought?

I have not used the reusable style gasket seal... Looks like a great buy though as long as you reuse it about 4-5 times(4-5 fluid changes) it would pay for itself...

Im not sure about that specific yoke replacement but I have a yoke on the womans YJ that has the u-bolt style U-joint hold down and i think its much stronger than stock straps

Would this replace the pinon seal?

You replace the pinion seal as you install it since you have to remove the yoke to do that anyway

now as I am looking through part on quadratech I found 2 different yoke up grade kit the first (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52237_05X0_PG.htm) and this one (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52237_9001.htm) any one used either of them?

if not I will most likely go with the first one.

How about this bearing set (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52406_05.htm) or this other bearing set (http://www.quadratec.com/products/52406_06.htm)?

One will be as good as the other, but make sure that you get the one for the D30. The one for the D35 is different. The main difference is that one has the U joint, so if you need one, you might as well get the second

Ok thank i will get the one w/o the u joint so I can get a greaseable u joint.
