Hi, I just got a 95 xj to use as a family wheeler. I have been hardcore into geo trackers for years (they will always be close to my heart), but my family is expanding and the tracker is just too small for everybody. I plan on lifting the xj about 4" and I have some 33" tires to put on it. I'm definatley gonna be needing some parts, gonna try to build this on a very low budget. Just want to be able to safely hit the main trails around Wellsville trails in Ohio.

A great thanks to everybody ahead of time cause I will definately have some questions.

Great to hear, Travis. The XJ is an awesome wheeler for the whole family. It will be a part of the family before ya know it. ;)

Welcome to xjtalk! We're all friendly around here, and there's no bashing. Respect one another is a great concept, the one this place was based on when created. Feel free to ask away those questions you have, the only stupid question is the one never asked. Thanks for coming aboard! Pics are always welcome as well :D

late update but here is a few pics from this past weekend. it's doing pretty well so far. it always run hot, can't sit and idle long or try a hill a few times without getting too hot. I'm gonna do the hood spacer and run aftermarket fan after doing coolant flush. also gonna weld rear gears and mount my winch on front bumper. the front grill fell out from me having to YANK my buddy out of a mud hole. he was stuck bad!

Why not put a locker in it? Limited slip helps you not chew up your tires. I gues mine are lunch box ones lol but they are very easy to put together I've taken mine apart and it back together 3 times :)

Low budget and easy to do. I've welded many diffs in trackers and a few cars I use to drag race. My current tracker I welded front and rear diffs, the thing is unstoppable! I love rocks and v washes. And I try to avoid mud. Just something about hanging wheels in the air and being on the edge of rolling over I love it lol. I'mnog gonna drive the jeep on the road much just a couple small local spots. I trailer it to most places.
