Door frame cracking

Ok so like i have see on most xj's the door hinge is seperating from the body. The problem i am having is were the door jam has a vent in the bottom right corner my body is cracking. Is this a comon thing?

Yes it is. It comes from the door being out of adjustment and falling when you open it. Re shim your door by taking the bolts loose and moving shims around, up or down. If you need more shims, you can find them at at wrecking yard. The door needs to open or close without the end dropping

I have the same cracking around that vent.

The hinge fix is a welder away,.. The catch issue I have had before. I v notched the crack made a mending plate spot weled the corners in to stop aheet metal pull then filled the notch,.. Then blend the repair
